Author Diana Al Shinawy had originally wanted to write a novel about Palestinian society, a beacon of life, love, and hope. But now, in the midst of war, she can no longer do that. It's as if she's opened a door and stepped into another time. Now it's all about structuring a daily life with the bare necessities and caring for one another.

Mustafa Al Nabih, a Palestinian author and director, has published novels and plays, directed 25 plays for children and adults, and made numerous documentaries. Al Nabih has collaborated with various international broadcasters, won 25 awards, and served as a jury member at numerous film festivals.
